The bathroom is finished! It took a little over a week, and during that week we were also saying our goodbyes to Gene’s mom, so it was a stressful week to say the least. We have been infinitely grateful to our former selves for deciding against doing the work ourselves. I think (know) we would still be living in a construction zone.
To jog your memory, two weeks ago, the master bathroom in this house could easily win a World’s Ugliest Bathroom competition.

And now…

A few more pictures of the transformation:

We could not be happier with how it turned out. The colors, flooring, countertops and sink we chose came together beautifully.
We tried a lot of different color samples for the vanity but ended up choosing white at the last minute and we are so glad we did.

Since we didn’t put another bathtub in, we left a hatch under the floorboards for easy access in case the new owners want to install one.
We did decide to fill the empty space where the large tub used to be with an armoire, both for storage and to fill the large empty space.
Let us know what you think. Is there anything you would have done differently?
Next up, we’re finally painting all the interior doors white! There are a LOT of doors in this house!
